Happy Holidays and Hiccups

I kept reading about him getting the hiccups. The weekend of Thanksgiving I finally felt them and he's had them every day since then poor guy. They say it's not uncomfortable to the baby since there's no air. I'd say 5 days out of the week he wakes me up with his kicks around 4:30 - 5AM. So I think we know his feeding pattern at night :) While I've only been gaining a little weight so that's great, I'm at 34 pounds up = 154...WOW. Let's see if I can maintain this weight?

BabyMoon

We had our BABYMOON to San Francisco for a quick weekend getaway :) We had a great time with our friends and ate a lot of GREAT food! Our favorite name still stands as Giancarlo (pronounced Johncarlo) with the nickname of "GQ!" I'm feeling great as long as I get my sleep, which is getting a little uncomfortable. He's kicking me all day long and I love it! I've never been told "Your so cute" so much in my life!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween! I had my 6 month (24 week) appointment today with my doctor and she did confirm that we've got a little boy :) He's been kicking like crazy.  Craig has been singing songs to him and the baby kicks when he stops singing :) Buster was his usual Pirate self for Halloween. It looks like I'm going to be out numbered by boys in my house! Another scary thought is I've gained 32 pounds...what is going on?

Tummy is growing :) 22 weeks and 6 days!

The little man has been kicking me like crazy lately...it's so cute and I love and laugh at him! My tummy just keeps getting bigger and bigger :) I'm still feeling great just occassional ligament stretching pains, pregnancy brainfarts (which is like being buzzed off of wine and pretty funny), eating a lot and still working out. I'm still in denial and haven't worn any actual materinty clothes but I think I'm on my last days of that. I also received my H1N1 vaccine on Monday :)
CONGRATS MONICA, my older sis, is Preggo's again for a third time and due end of April :)

It's a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in Lake Havasu for work today and one of my doctors I call on asked me, "Boy or Girl?" I said 3 tries and we still don't know so he asked me if I had 5 minutes :)))))))))))) Finally, the legs were spread wide open and the umbilical cord wasn't hanging right in front of his goods. This pic is taken so you can see the bottom of his tush, his 2 legs, and his family jewels right in the middle!

Round 2 in Albuquerque

OK get this...I was in one of my clients today in Albuquerque and the doc was like do you want to find out right now...I'll ultrasound you real quick :) I'm like OK, but don't tell me the sex just print it so I can open in w/Craig. The babies legs were blocking again so he used a buzzer and the babies legs opened and...the stinkin' umbilical cord was right in front of the genitals????? Can you believe it?

18 week ultrasound

So we went for our 18 week ultrasound on Friday (not at my doc's office)to make sure the baby is healthy and to find out the gender!! The little flutters/bubbles I can feel that I thought was the baby, DEFINATELY is :) We were laughing because I could feel all the little movements while seeing the baby on the screen! We were the last appointment on Friday and by the time we got to the gender it was 10 to 5PM. The tech brought in her supervisor and Craig. The babies legs were crossed or just too close together. They had me empty by bladder and then they tried only one other time and he said, "while it could be a girl but were not sure." I'm going to call my doctors office tomorrow to find out when I can get another ultrasound so we all can know blue nursery or pink nursery:) Check out the little foot :)

People are noticing...

Last week one of the OBGYN's I call on was the first one to ask, without me telling, if I was pregnant! When I sit down my tummy sticks out in way it never has before :) This week a patient in one of my doctors waiting room and my neighbor also figured out my little bump. I had my 16 week appointment earlier this week and my OB said the baby is a show off we could hear him/her moving around while listening for the heart beat! September 18th we'll find out the sex :)

Maybe felt the baby kick...I think!

After a long day of working in Albuquerque I finally made it home and lounged on the couch with Craig. I might have felt the baby. I felt a little bubble going up where the baby is at like 5 times in a row? Also, when I'm sleeping and I toss and turn I can feel something down there. Of course, about twice a week we listen to the heart beat. 2 more weeks until we find out if it's a little Craig or Maria :)))))))))

Listening to Babies Heartbeat :) August 23, 2009

Hi everyone,
Since this is our first blog we'll bring you all up to date. There is a baby in my belly :) At our 8 week OB appointment we saw the baby for the first time, and the heart beating! At our 12 week appointment we heard the heartbeat. It took a few minutes to find and Craig said the doctor was saying it takes me a few minutes to find it. I didn't wasn't listening. All I could think about was the movie, "Marley and Me" when they don't find one. Less than 2 minutes later she found the babies heartbeat and a few tears of happiness let loose like an emotional pregnant woman :)
After this I knew I didn't want to wait another month to hear it so we bought an at home fetal doppler...first you hear me (which sounds exactly like the womb noise my nephew Johnny falls asleep to) and then you hear a loud beating drum. Last night the babies heartrate was around 150!
Love, Maria and Craig and Buster
